WMH has recently despatched a new hand-crimp pasty line to the UK’s leading manufacturer of handmade Cornish pasties. The 12 metre long conveyor will form an integral part of an in-line operation in a new production facility in Bodmin.
The conveyor fits in between a make-up conveyor and glazer and will easily accommodate the 30 operators needed to hand-finish and crimp traditional Cornish Pasties and a range of other speciality pasties. The conveyor will also be used for transportation of sausage rolls between the make-up line and glazing and freezing operations.
The unit has been built to WMH’s high standards offering integral crimp shelves alongside the PU belt. The conveyor is driven from an underslung centre drive-box and at each end small diameter rollers are used to give the best possible transfer of delicate uncooked products. Each end of the conveyor features a hinge-up tail section which allows the conveyor belt to be lifted clear of the deck for thorough cleaning and auto-tracking is fitted to keep the long belt running centrally along the conveyor deck.
“The line will fit into a new production facility that the company have recently invested in.” Said Account Manager John Taylor.
