WMH is pleased to be strengthening its workforce for the future by continuing with its apprenticeship programme. The latest apprentice to join the WMH team is Alfie Morgan who began his training in September following completion of his GCSE’s earlier in the summer.

Alfie is following a mechanical engineering programme to become a fully qualified welder fabricator. The WMH apprenticeship programme is run in conjunction with City College Plymouth. Apprentices attend college one day a week then spend four days per week in the workplace putting their newfound knowledge into practice. While at WMH all apprentices are supervised by workshop supervisors Mike and Nathan and by Operations Manager Paul Messenger.

When not working or studying Alfie is a keen sportsman training regularly in both swimming and hockey.

“Alfie is a good worker and is progressing well. In time he will become a productive member of the team” said supervisor Nathan Clark.
