WMH aims to forge long standing relationships with thier customers, so that as their business processing requirements evolve so too can the machinery. Investing in capital equipment is a major investment for any food production facility so modifying existing machinery can be a cost-effective alternative to starting from scratch.
Working with a long-standing client WMH has recently supplied several new conveyors to reconfigure existing equipment to meet new processing requirements.
The recent projects involved supplying a new section of conveyor to allow an additional filling line to be added so that it could feed into the existing packing system. WMH had previously supplied conveyoring in the area so modifying existing machinery was straight forward. The work involved fabricating a new section using the same profile as the original conveyor. And supplying additional support stands. The new section was installed during a scheduled maintenance window.
Another project involved the installation of a small conveyor system to complete a production line with a packing station. The layout of the system takes into account the future requirement to install additional inspection and quality control equipment. This involved designing one conveyor with a section that can be easily removed at a later date to create space for the planned new machinery.
“Forging long term relationships with our clients helps us to provide a better service to our customers. Project modifying existing machinery can appear to be less exciting than newbuilds, they are however equally important for our customers.” Said a spokesman for WMH.
