WMH wishes to appoint an experienced mechanical design engineer to join their existing team.

 WMH is a successful, engineering business based near Plymouth.

The company has developed an enviable reputation for the design and manufacture of production, packing lines and automated equipment used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.  WMH supplies products and support services to a number of Blue Chip companies both in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities to include:

Design of individual machines from concept through to manufacturing details Specification of specialist bought-out component parts Generation of detailed parts lists and other supporting documentation Project management and customer liaison Occasional visits to customer sites when required.

Ideal Candidates:

Should have an appropriate engineering qualification Will be an experienced engineer with a proven track record in the field of  machine design Should have experience of using 3D and 2D CAD systems eg Inventor and Autocad Should be computer literate and familiar with MS Office products Should be a capable planner, comfortable working on own initiative and as part of a team Will be competent in specifying drives and pneumatics components Will have a working knowledge of machine automation and motion control
