WMH’s expansion plans took a great leap forward with the recent appointment of SML Contracts to undertake the construction of a 3600-square foot extension to their fabrication workshop and refurbishment of an existing building.
The works are due to commence in early May and are expected to take 7 months to complete and once completed the will deliver a doubling of the fabrication floorspace, enabling clean assembly and testing area to be re-established in a separate building. The extension will also provide a new; staff rest room, locker room with shower. The extra space will also house a private meeting room and stores.
Following construction of the new building the adjoining workshop will be refurbished with new modern cladding and new roof, to match the new build. The services will also be renewed to bring them up to date and increase the energy efficiency of the building.
“These works will provide an excellent base to secure the ongoing successful future of WMH.” Said John Tomlinson, Managing Director and founding owner of Western Mechanical Handling UK Ltd
